The glittery world of Canada’s Drag Race is about to get even hotter as Season 4 is gearing up for its big debut on November 16, 2023. This spinoff of RuPaul’s Drag Race has stolen hearts worldwide and now it’s set to welcome a fresh batch of fabulous drag queens from the Great White North.

As the Werk Room opens its doors, you can bet that the legendary Brooke Lynn Hytes, our head judge and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum, will be there to guide the show. Get ready for charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent like you’ve never seen before.

Canada’s Drag Race Season 4 Cast: Meet the Queens

  1. Aimee Yonce Shennel
  • Age: 31
  • Pronouns: He/him (she/her in drag)
  • Bio: Originally from the Dominican Republic, Aimee Yonce Shennel made Canada her home in 2016. She’s not just any queen; she’s the reigning Miss Capital Pride and has a collection of awards, including Drag of the Year, Performance of the Year, and Fan-Favorite Drag Artist. Her mission is simple: to spread joy and smiles because she believes that one smile can change the world. She mentions that she hasn’t encountered anyone who, upon watching her, didn’t immediately develop affection. She viewed this as a natural talent she were born with.
  1. Aurora Matrix
  • Age: 23
  • Pronouns: They/them (She/they in drag)
  • Bio: Aurora Matrix is a sensation in the Toronto drag scene. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from York University, she’s no stranger to the spotlight. You might have seen her on the award-winning series “1 Queen, 5 Queers.” Her motto? “I’m a performer through and through. I personally don’t think there’s anyone in Toronto who performs like I do! Werk Diva!”
  1. Denim
  • Age: 24
  • Pronouns: He/him (she/her in drag)
  • Bio: Denim is a transmasc drag queen with a style that’s a blend of 2000s bimbo fashion and futuristic club kid aesthetic. She’s shared the stage with some of the top artists like King Princess, Charli XCX, Kim Petras, Tinashe, and Caroline Polachek. Last year, Denim’s life took an exciting turn when she discovered she’s neurodivergent through an autism diagnosis, and she’s turned it into a powerful statement in her drag. Denim said that she was described as a beloved pocket-sized queen by the speaker. She was referred to as a trans icon and a reality TV sensation, and it was remarked that she had a unique ability to adapt to various situations, akin to it being a part of her nature.
  1. Kiki Coe
  • Age: 35
  • Pronouns: He/him (she/her in drag)
  • Bio: Kiki Coe isn’t just a queen; she’s also an accomplished designer known for her extravagant and unforgettable costumes, some of which have graced the Canada’s Drag Race runway. But she doesn’t stop there; Kiki is a chef who’s taken on cooking competitions, including “Chopped Canada.” As the youngest of nine siblings, she’s ready to show that her drag is resilient. In her words, “My drag is rich. It’s seasoned. It’s strong. There could be a whole tsunami, and my headpiece would stay on.”
  1. Kitten Kaboodle
  • Age: 57
  • Pronouns: He/him (she/her in drag)
  • Bio: Kitten Kaboodle’s journey into drag began in high school when she sneaked into a gay club at just 15. It wasn’t until 2012 that Kitten Kaboodle learned to sew, and that’s when she officially became the dazzling queen we know today. Known for her campy ’70s showgirl style, she’s also a sought-after drag designer, having created looks for previous queens who’ve graced the main stage of Canada’s Drag Race. She sums it up, “I’m all about being campy, polished, and elevated. Everything’s a little bit bigger, a little gayer, and a lot sparklier.”
  1. Luna DuBois
  • Age: 24
  • Pronouns: He/him (she/her in drag)
  • Bio: Luna DuBois isn’t just a queen; she’s a fashion icon in Toronto. With a background in fashion techniques and design, she’s a self-taught makeup artist who even hosts drag masterclasses. Luna uses her voice to advocate for the underrepresented, especially BIPOC performers, to ensure they’re treated fairly. She proudly declared that she was introduced as an essence with a distinct DuBois factor. She highlighted that Luna didn’t conform but rather stood out conspicuously. This was referred to as the “full moon experience.”
  1. Melinda Verga
  • Age: 44
  • Pronouns: He/him (No preference in drag)
  • Bio: Melinda embarked on her drag journey at the age of 37, and there’s been no looking back. Her titles include Mz. Gay Edmonton 2017 and Edmonton Drag Idol 2018, and she’s even performed at the top of Whistler Mountain for Jasper Pride. Melinda is passionate about mentoring young queens in the Edmonton drag scene and has produced shows highlighting Filipino and Asian cultures and underrepresented performers. As she aptly puts it, “This season I’m bringing 44 years of life experiences, lessons, wisdom — oh, and ass!”
  1. Nearah Nuff
  • Age: 22
  • Pronouns: He/him (she/her in drag)
  • Bio: Part of Calgary’s infamous Nuff family, Nearah Nuff is a performer with a capital P. Despite only starting her drag journey three years ago, she’s a competitive dancer and holds diplomas in makeup artistry and airbrushing. As she proudly declares, “I’m a dancing diva — emphasis on diva! She’s anything but a filler queen, and the only thing that’s bigger than her lips is her ego.”
  1. Sisi Superstar
  • Age: 31
  • Pronouns: He/they (She/her in drag)
  • Bio: Sisi Superstar is the self-proclaimed underground, hyper-pop grunge queen of Montreal. She’s the co-creator of Montreal’s biggest alternative queer event, Unikorn Parties, and is credited as a major force for alternative drag in the city. Beyond her drag career, she’s a DJ, songwriter, professional event planner, and community organizer. In her own words, she describes herself as a spooky, sexy, and multifaceted person. She acknowledges her roles as a party organizer, socialite, and queen of the underground nightlife scene, which they considered to be professionally chaotic.
  1. The Girlfriend Experience
  • Age: 31
  • Pronouns: She/her in and out of drag
  • Bio: The Girlfriend Experience, born in Germany, grew up between Vancouver and Germany, speaking fluent German. Living authentically and embracing drag are her life’s passions. She’s openly shared her journey of self-discovery to inspire those on a similar path. Recently, she even launched an all-trans drag show in Vancouver. In her own words, “I blend in ’cause I’m everyone’s buddy, but I stand out ’cause I’m prettier than all of them!”
  1. Venus
  • Age: 27
  • Pronouns: No preference (She/her in drag)
  • Bio: Venus is a Vancouver drag legend, a member of the non-binary drag supergroup ENBY6, and part of the Gender drag family alongside her drag mother, Kendall Gender from Canada’s Drag Race Season 2. Venus is a supermodel in the making who’s walked the runways of New York Fashion Week and shared the stage with top artists. As a Red River Metis two-spirit person, she’s deeply connected to her Metis family and ancestors in Manitoba. She boldly proclaims that people should prepare for a significant impact as the supernova supermodel, Venus, has arrived. Venus was described as the hottest in their solar system, with an intriguing surprise in store, and the audience was encouraged to enjoy her fantastic outfits and join her on an exciting journey on her rocket ship.
